Ari Gold

Ari Gold

 

Ari Gold was born and raised in San Francisco. His one-minute film Culture, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, was called “the best 60 seconds of film at Sundance” (Reel.com), and inspired the production of opposition films in Yugoslavia. Ari's other shorts include the multi-award-winning Helicopter, and Frog Crossing, (co-directed by Jamie Babbit). Ari has acted in films such as Greg Harrison's Groove, for which he won 2001 "Stoner of the Year" from High Times magazine, and has written several feature-length screenplays. He was selected as one of "Filmmaker Magazine"'s "25 Faces to Watch", and he is currently releasing an album with his band, The Honey Brothers (www.TheHoneyBrothers.com).
