Our Guest, Ari Gold

 

 

Ari Gold, an avant-garde film artist from New York, ukulele player, winner of the Student Academy Award, Oscar, special guest and the member of the jury of our Festival, arrives to Belgrade carrying personally in his hand luggage his films’ 35mm tapes.

 

Screening of Ari’s films within the programme New York, 6 Hours Behind will commence with the one-minute Culture, multi-awarded work that has once achieved amazing success at the famous Sundance Festival. The Oscar winning Helicopter is the reconstruction of the accident in which, unfortunately, have tragically died Ari’s mother and her boyfriend. Among other things, the film Frog Crossing has been awarded at the festivals Telluride, Sundance and Rotterdam. Fresh achievement Adventures of Power is the only fiction feature in the programme of this year’s Festival.
