In the framework of the 56th Festival of Documentary and Short Film, the Jury of the Film Artists Association of Serbia, who has the honor this year to extend the Jovan Acin Award, has comprised Sava Trifkovic, Miodrag Novakovic and Chairman Sava Acin.
 

After having reviewed the domestic competition films, the Jury has unanimously decided to extend the Jovan Acin Award to the documentary film Welcome to Italy by Bojan Cvetkovic.
 

Bojan Cvetkovic has, by initiating deep and diverse internal impulses, managed to put in line his position of film director, unite it, synchronize it and articulate as a scriptwriter and cameraman and editor. We have a complete and complex author, an engaged documentarist, whose media work is associated to a burning and topical life theme, as well as to an increasingly complex electronic technology of a changed and extended reality. Of course, all this is a testimony of a the author’s wide sensibility: he is facing us in a paradoxical and funny way with the grotesque position of a group of young people born in this region, who confidently and without prejudice, not thinking too much about forbidden fruit, have moved on to make seemingly easy money and an adventure of picking apples on faraway plantations of Europe…
